CHAPTER POLICY
Severe Weather Policy
If the weather turns disruptive, we have a chapter-specific policy. Our members span multiple cities and counties across the Triangle, so we’ve tried to factor that in. Safety comes first. There’s nothing more stressful than rush hour on ice. Our policy is based on school delays and closings. Occasionally the President may overrule it, but will give as much notice as possible.
The policy
- If the Morrisville Chamber is closed, the meeting is canceled.
- If Wake County (our host county) schools are closed, the meeting is canceled.
- If Wake is on a delay, the President will confirm the Morrisville Chamber is open and whether the meeting is happening. If you live in Wake County, your attendance won’t be counted against you, whether or not you have children on delay.
- If the county you live in is on a school delay or closed, your attendance won’t be counted against you.
What to do
- Check your county for a closing or delay, and attend appropriately.
- Check Wake County (the host county) for a closing or delay, and attend appropriately.
- Be safe!
